From Paper to Pop-Up

From Paper to Pop-Up

A few months ago, this was quite literally a drawing on a piece of paper.

An idea of what a Frankie Mae store could look like one day... curved shelves, little nooks, textured walls and a space filled with all the things we love.

Today, we got to see it in real life.

For our pop-up store, we wanted to create more than just a market stall. We wanted it to actually feel like Frankie Mae. A little showroom where our scarves, homewares, ceramics, candles and all the pieces we’ve been collecting could finally sit together in one space.

There was a lot that went into getting here. Sketching layouts, changing our minds, building shelving, painting, moving some very heavy things around, styling and restyling everything right up until the doors opened.

Seeing the finished space was a bit surreal.

Frankie Mae has mostly existed online, so being able to physically walk into our brand for the first time felt like quite a big moment for us.

And then having people come through, browse the shelves, pick things up, try things on and see everything in person made it even better.

It was also the first time we got to share some brand-new Frankie Mae pieces that we’ve been working on behind the scenes.

A massive thank you to everyone who came along, shopped with us, grabbed a coffee, said hello or helped us pull the whole thing together.
